ABSTRACT: The life history of Palpopleura lucia lucia (Drury) has been studied under laboratory conditions. P. Iucia Iucia had 10 larval instars and larva! development lasted on average 39.8 days, the final instar larvae attaining an average body length of 12.81+0.54mm .Morphometric studies involving the principal characters of the external morphology which might be useful in distinguishing the various instars were also carried out.
