Handling and Publication Fee

Our journal does not receive direct funding from any individual, external or governmental parastatal. Therefore, NJE adopts an open access author pays policy in which the publication costs of an article are borne by author(s), or by their supporting institution, in the form of handling and publishing Charges.

Submission of Article to NJE is free. However, a processing fee (which cover journal’s production, availability online, hosting and archiving, DOI number etc) is charged for each article accepted for publication.

Payment of publication charges

During submission of articles, the submitting author must agree to pay the required publication charge thus:

Processing fee N5,000 or $10 paid for processing.
Publication fee for members of ESN with maximum of 15 pages (A4 paper size) including tables and figures. N40,000. Payment of N10,000 for extra pages.
Authors that desire printing of their tables in colours will pay additional charges as determined by the Editorial Board.

Non-members – Publication charge is N60,000.00

International authors will pay $120 as publication fee after acceptance.

Payment can be made by any of the following methods:

  • Online credit card payment using a secure payment platform.
  • Bank wire Transfer
  • Western Union Money Transfer (Optional) and
  • Bank payment in Nigerian Naira (NGN) currency (Only applicable to Nigerian Researchers)

Please note that the publication charges are only made if an article is accepted for publication, and we do advise prompt payment, as the article will not be published until payment is received.
